To Little Italy, on foot. Murray Hill, the bakeries and Mama Santa’s are a walk rather than a drive, and the Red Line station at Little Italy University Circle puts downtown and the airport on a train.

Why this is not the campus house
We own two sets of houses near Case Western and they answer different questions. The apartments on E 118th Street are three minutes from North Residential Village, for people who want their day to stay exactly as it is. Ashbury is twelve minutes from campus and six from Little Italy, for people who have decided that the point of moving off campus is to live somewhere.
Twelve minutes is a real walk, not a token one, and we would rather say that plainly than have you discover it in February. What you get for those extra nine minutes is Murray Hill at the end of your street instead of a dining hall, and a house with a yard rather than a unit beside a parking garage.
A whole house for five
Each side of the duplex has five bedrooms and three bathrooms and is rented as one lease to one group. That is a deliberate choice: five people who chose each other run a house better than five people assigned to one, and it means the kitchen, the yard and the parking belong to your group rather than being negotiated with strangers.
It also means the arithmetic is simple. The whole house divides by five, and because the lease is one lease, nobody is left carrying a room when somebody leaves for a semester abroad without arranging their own replacement.
Getting to campus, and everywhere else
University Circle is twelve minutes on foot, and so is Case Western itself. The Cleveland Clinic is thirty, which is a bus or a bike rather than a walk, so if you are at the clinic every day this is not the house for you. The Red Line station at Little Italy University Circle is the useful one: downtown in fifteen minutes and Hopkins airport without a car, which matters more at Thanksgiving than it does in September.
Who you are actually renting from
We are Pari and Moshik. We own both houses and we run them ourselves, so the person who answers when the furnace stops is the person who can send somebody to fix it. There is no leasing office and no ticket queue.
Leases are twelve months. If you have no income history yet you will need a guarantor, usually a parent, which is normal for a student lease and not something we make difficult.
